I absolutely love to travel.  When I boarded a plane for my first overseas trip in 2000, I had not considered what it meant to travel as a black woman. As a matter of fact, I did not consider it at all until years later after I had visited several countries. I was naive to think that the rest of the world would see me differently than how all races, including my own, viewed me in the United States.

You have decided to go on safari in Kenya and you are wondering how to get started. It can feel daunting to plan travel to any part of Africa, especially if it is your first time to the continent.

If you have time to spend more than one day in Nairobi, her are my 5 best day trips from Nairobi within two hours of the city limit I recommend.

Africa, the amazing continent! I recommend that everyone travel to Africa during their lifetime if possible.I have only scratched the surface of getting to know Africa. But, all of my experiences have been amazing and incredibly memorable.

Morocco can be an adventure in many ways. Of all of the African countries listed on my bucket list, Morocco was at the top of my list. I had been looking forward to visiting Morocco for a very long time. So, I tried to get the most out of my trip during a 10 day trek across the country.

Many travelers to Kenya only have one day to spend in Nairobi before they begin their safari adventures. While I believe safaris are the highlight of traveling to Kenya, I would not pass up on the opportunity to get a feel for the country’s capital city.

I have a love hate relationship with Morocco. I have done a lot of solo travel. And, I think solo female travel in Morocco is at the top of the list of most difficult to travel I have done as a solo woman.

As part of my bucket list travels, I wanted to spend at least one night in the Moroccan desert. Even if it was not on my list, a trip to Morocco would not have been complete without spending the night in the desert. I was happy that I was able to fit in an amazing Morocco desert tour into my travels!
